M&E Services – Director
James commenced his employment at Vear Group as an apprentice HVAC engineer at the tender age of 16. Having gained MEP Services qualifications over 3 disciplines and serving nearly a decade on tools, spent a period away from the company to gain experience elsewhere. It was not long before MD Tim Waters brought him back to the company to head up the Maintenance Division. Reluctant at first to give up the tools, James has not looked back since having taken up a role as Senior Contracts Manager to Senior Group Director.
“I thought at the time it was a waste giving up the tools, however having continued in the world of DIY in recent years, I think Tim was trying to be kind to me”.
A devoted family man married with two children, has an interest in nearly all sports mainly (Cricket & Football) and a lifelong fan of Southampton FC. Despite an extremely busy schedule James will be seen enjoying a few well-earned beers down his local on a weekend, especially Sunday afternoon which he refers to as ‘my religion’.
